True Craftmanship

I sit here, on a normal saturday night, tired and somewhat distracted, and I find myself completely transfixed by one thing: my daughter. Now, I will be the first to tell people how amazing my daughter is, how much i love her and am proud of her. However, I can definitively say that I see her first passion emerging: DESIGN! I may be far reaching but my daughter's thirst for creation is abundant. She began drawing, writing and dancing at school and at home. A few months ago, she started creating things out of paper. She astounded me one day when she created a three piece band out of paper: a guitar, drums and a violin. Oh and don't forget the microphone. She blew me away when she recreated our Macbook with paper and markers, apple sign and all. Since this began, we have collected paper ipods, cell phones, purses, earrings, bracelets, watches, along with many books that she has written, accompanied by detailed illustrations. Like any good design house, she has honed her skills. This season, we have a lovely line of fairy wings, multicolored of course, and bedazzled crowns that are crafted so carefully you would think Michelangelo himself was in the room. And if all of this was not wonderful enough, as I tucked my daughter into bed, she explained that I needed to buy her large rolls of paper so that she could create a princess dress of her own and maybe even a mermaid skirt. FIT here we come!
