The meeting of the minds happened in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past weekend. Scorsese made his way to BK to film what will be, I'm sure, a show stopping commercial for Chanel. I love this photo, which is the supposed setting for the shoot, because it captures a brilliant juxtaposition; the lighting is amazing and it brings to life the perfect fantasy. A woman, atop the stairs, wearing a haute couture Chanel gown, waiting for her lover. At a moment's notice, she sees him and her heart pounds as she flies down the stairs, a train of silk and organza wafting through the air, grabbing hold of the light. They embrace, they kiss and they round the corner never to be seen again.
And this is why I love fashion. Oh the fantasy of it all!
