Marissa Alperin is a young jewelry designer whose vision and aesthetic are both thoughtful and dynamic. Rooted in her family's cultural history and tradition, Marissa is inspired by the edgy street styles of La Coruna, Spain and the downtown chic of Cobble Hill, Brooklyn. Her studio space is warm and beautifully designed, much like the pieces that she has crafted over the past few years. Marissa's design approach balances simplicity and elegance with beautiful detailing and unique shapes fashioned after natural elements like the sea, skeletons and bones, and butterflies. Marissa signature "M" is incorporated into her work as well, a subtle nod to the designer used in a clever manner. Marissa's manipulation of gold and silver and some incredibly rich stones gives each piece a distinct look worthy of birthday presents and heirlooms alike. She is one to watch, for sure.
