The French, eclectic, bohemian feel of Sophie Theallet is unequivocally the most under-appreciated designer this season. After reading the many pages of Fashion Week Reviews, commentary and watching runway shows online, I happened upon Theallet's recent work when reading one of my favorite fashion blogs, On the Runway, by Cathy Horyn (http://runway.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/02/17/fashion-as-food/)
I was astounded, excited and completely moved. Ms. Theallet is an absolute genius in her choice of fabric, colors and shapes. Though not all dresses flatter the female form, the pieces pictured are tremendously beautiful, each one creating an incredible fantasy that is desirable and true. And frankly speak for themselves.
