Some of the images from the past few weeks are cinematic. Film has a way of transporting us to paradise, that place of fantasy and drama. Some films are clearly collages of images, strung together by subtle moments and emotions. They remind me of whispers, tearful reunions, and those crescendo musical passages that set the backdrop to a love scene. In these images I find a particular appreciation for the coats this season. The voluminous forms, the color palettes, and the simple structures leaves the space for individuality and clarity in an ensemble. They masterfully create an illusion, similar to the illusions created in film. Sometimes, there's more to them than meets the eye.
