3.1 Philip Lim displayed, yet again, some exceptionally beautiful looks for the Fall. I particularly appreciated the color palate, which was warm, luxurious and unexpected. There was a clear and dynamic color story that unfolded as the show progressed. The fabrics was a combination of rigid and soft, fluid and restrained. The structures were a balance of masculine and feminine, with a bit more masculine androgyny above all. The green pants struck a chord which offered that pop we all need when facing the doldrums of winter. The leather work was pristine and forceful which struck me as a perfect accessory to the structured pieces in the collection. I fell in love with a sapphire belted dress that sang the song of pretty perfection. Philip Lim is a real visionary whose unique outlook informed the Fall collection, another masterpiece, indeed.
