Prints make me nervous, for sure. However, there are elements to these prints that I really appreciate. The way that lines and structure can be created, even in an illusion, with patterns is quite remarkable. After a year of writing about fashion, I have come to respect those designers who are also textile designers. Missoni among the most notable, textile design is where much of the innovation is born. And the design and structure of the clothing that fits and folds in all the right places come not only from the master's imagination but from the ridges, stitches and lines of the fabric, which serve as the essence of a garment.
